Our Mission
Share the church with everyone as a community space for music, weddings and events.
Make the church an asset to the neighborhood.
Complete an historic restoration of the church.
Benefit the causes that we care about, specifically animals and the performing arts. (We love dogs and music!)
What we’ve done so far:
Replaced and restored rotted wooden foundation of building.
Repaired wiring in sanctuary. Repaired several wiring/plumbing issues.
Removed fluorescent lights in sanctuary and installed better lighting.
Replaced carpet in sanctuary and upstairs.
Installed entryway wood.
Repaired and restored historic fir floors on basement level.
Installed picture molding in sanctuary.
Restored wooden baseboard in sanctuary.
Restored and reinstalled cross.
Repaired and replastered many of the ceilings and walls.
Replaced floor in upstairs bathroom.
Repainted sanctuary, and several other rooms.
What we have left to do:
Create a library of historic information. We are looking for historic photos and objects to display in the church.
Restore original wooden floors in sanctuary.
Remove the paint and restore the original wood of the pews.
Remove current metal siding and restore original wooden siding on church.
Find a bell like the original bell and restore.
Landscape the property and build a deck for outdoor events.
Continue the repair of electrical and plumbing systems.
Continue the painting and repair of walls and ceilings.
Secure long-term financing on building.
